I took yesterday as kind of a second “rest” day. I worked
all day and decided I didn’t want to blog last night because I really needed to
spend a few hours studying and doing school work. Well, I didn’t get out of the
office until late, had to go home and pick up C, then go to the grocery store
to pick up food and C’s dry cleaning because he’s at a leadership summit for
today and tomorrow so he needed nice clean clothes! Needless to say when we
finally did get home I had about 2 hours to do school work. I finished the
chapter about water, and basically how our tap water is an unnatural, processed
substance and the best ways to filter water to ensure you are getting natural
minerals and not as many chemicals. It was very interesting!
Now I’m on the chapter about carbohydrates (CHO) and
monosaccharides and disaccharides and all those fun things that I remember
learning about in college and wonder now why I didn’t pay better attention…. So
because last night I was getting like 10000 different terms thrown in my face,
I decided to start making study cards. What an odd feeling having to make study
cue cards AGAIN. Tonight I’m going to be adding to my stash of study cards
because C isn’t home and the only thing on TV is the election, so I think it’s
a great way to spend my night!
Today Jenny and I did a fun circuit workout! We wanted to
get in a quick workout because the both of us have a ton of work to do so this
is what we did!
6 rounds, 10 reps of each
1. Assisted pull-ups
2. Kettlebell swings
3. Bicep curls w/ 10lbs dumbbells (Jenny did body weight squats)
4. Medicine ball bounces as hard as you can
5. Sit-ups on a stability ball
6. Push-ups

Both she and I were really sweaty by the time we were done!
It was great – and after my work out, I got to use my new Sun Warrior protein!
It definitely had a different consistency than my regular protein, but it wasn’t
bad. I mean, protein powder and water isn’t normally delicious so I didn’t have
high expectations. The selling point to me isn’t the taste so much as it making
me feel ok and being organic and healthy and all of that fun stuff.
When C and I went to the grocery store last night I bought a
pomegranate. Have you ever peeled your own pomegranate to get the seeds? I’ve
done this before but I think I forgot how complicated it was. Basically you
have to peel the whole thing under water so that the juice of the seeds doesn’t
fly everything and stain everything it touches. So it looked like this…
But it’s great because it resulted in this….

| They are so pretty!! |
-
They are super low in calories… in about 100g
(3/4 of a cup, give or take) there’s only 83 calories!
-
They are a great way to get Vitamin C and K
(vitamin C aids in immune system function, wound healing, promotion of healthy
gums and the manufacture of collagen and elastin. Vitamin K is important for
maintaining strong bones as well as proper blood clotting).
-
They are rich in phytochemicals which are
substances found in minute quantities in plant foods that fight disease (like
cancer).
You’ve tried pomegranates before right? If not – I would
highly recommend that you head on out and buy some while they’re plentiful at
the supermarket now! J

ReplyDeleteOne approach also of acquiring free xbox live codes is as simple as looking at a number of video gaming review articles where on-line games are generally getting reviewed.
ReplyDeleteThe best time to visit the Microsoft website is when there happens to be an event that touches on
gaming such as the launch of an entirely new game. The second type
is the almost legitimate programs that are encountered less
than the fake type and has been created with good intentions and was filled with legal, valid codes.

Your lady is proper you ought to wear something within your ears for that first few months 24/7.
ReplyDeleteIf you can not the holes will probably close overnight.
I suggest you place you piercing studs in at bedtime considering that the stem diameter is slightly larger
around the piercing stud in comparison with other earrings, that
keeps your holes nice free. Stick to it, you will get familiar
with it, although I can say it never bothered me I had put together Ears pierced when I
was 7 but I wore earrings all the time not less than 3 years following that.
