Pumpkin Vanilla Protein Shake!

Good evening Beautiful,

What a day. I just got home after leaving the condo at 1pm. I spent the afternoon at the spa and it was so fun! I’ve never gone to a spa before for anything besides a pedicure/manicure so this was a fun and nice change. I started the afternoon with a pedicure, I got some sparkly pink colour J and then I had a facial! It was sooo relaxing. It came with a neck massage and the facial and a scalp massage. She did some extractions which wasn’t the best part (basically they use a metal tool to unclog some of your pores… it hurts) but then she did the scalp massage and that made up for it. I love when people tickle and play with my hair so this was perfect. After it was over I was pretty relaxed and pretty tired.
Then C and I decided to go to the mall to get my Tiffany’s necklace that I dropped off for cleaning. It looks so pretty again! Super shiny again! We made a pit stop at IKEA because there are some stools that we really want to buy but they’ve been sold out every time we’ve went there. I did manage to pick up some champagne flutes for my birthday on Friday (they’re going to second as a martini glass J) as well as some Christmas ribbon and tape for the presents I’m going to start making tomorrow. I can’t really say much about them because the family who will be receiving the presents read this blog, but after I give them to them (at the end of November) I will let you all in on the fun I’m going to have this year with gifts!
This morning I slept in until almost 10am – it was SO nice. I didn’t feel like cooking breakfast this morning, so I gathered up all the ingredients to make the pumpkin protein shake I mentioned yesterday! It turned out great! It was huge, and it filled me up so good. This is what I did:
Ingredients
15 mini icecubes (use 5-10 full sized ice cubes)
6 mini bananas
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
3 spoon fulls of pumpkin puree
1tbsp of ground organic flax seed
1 handful of cashews
1 splash of vanilla unsweetened almond milk
Cinnamon
Directions
Put everything in a blender and MIX IT UP!
Put into a glass and sprinkle cinnamon on top!
Enjoy!
Obviously you can play with the ingredients and play around with them to your taste. Mine ended up looking like this:

It was super tasty, it wasn’t too sweet and it was really thick. Don’t use as many mini bananas if you prefer your shakes more runny.
After I finished my shake I watched some television and then got ready to hit up the gym in my condo building. I succeeded in my goal of completing lower body domination! It wasn’t a super long workout but it was intense and I managed to squeeze in a lot in a shorter amount of time. My total workout was about 40 minutes in length and included
100 body squats
100 alternating lunges
30 jumping lunges
30 romanian deadlifts
20 leg extensions
20 leg curls
60 walking lunges with 2x10lbs dumbbells
I warmed up on the bike and ended with some stretching. My legs were pretty much jelly by the end of the workout. Afterwards I managed to fit in some school work before heading out for the afternoon. Tonight I’m staying in on this reeeeally cold night, and I’m watching The Bachelor from this week and sipping a cesear!
Tomorrow will be a fun day because I’m meeting some friends for lunch and we’re going to Live Food Bar! It’s a fun, vegan, raw restaurant a little bit north of where I live and it’s the same restaurant that has the pictures of me hanging all around the restaurant! Haha! I told everyone who’s going there that my pictures are hanging up, but I don’t know if they’ll remember before tomorrow. There’s 9 pictures of me in total I think… It should be pretty funny! After lunch I’ll be working on school and on the Christmas presents I have to make and maybe I’ll try a new recipe for dinner tomorrow if you’re lucky! J.
Did you get your workout in today? If so – what did you work on? Do you make shakes often? Have you ever tried a pumpkin vanilla protein shake?
I hope you have a great night!
Stay sweet.
xoxo

  6. So many lunges.. Yikes!! That's a pretty intense WOD!!

I've been doing a pumpkin smoothie much simpler: almond milk, 1/4 cup pumpkin, tsp pumpkin pie spice, and protein powder. Tastes like a mushed up pie in your mouth.. lol.
