Spring Is SO CLOSE!

Hey Loveys,

Happy Sunday!

No really, today has been a great day! Why? Well here in Toronto it was sunny and 13C all day! It was a little taste of spring and it has me VERY excited! I love spring, it's such a pretty season and of course, it leads to SUMMER! The best season of all! What did I get up to this weekend? Not a lot of anything exciting, so I'm going to try and make it sound as awesome as possible....

Friday night we went out to our fave spot, Williams Landing for some beverages and some eats, I had calamari, and it was probably the best calamari I've ever had in my life. Mmmm, thinking about it makes me want it again. On Saturday I didn't get up to much. I met with a friend of mine for coffee after she was done at CrossFit (and destroyed her hands, she's so intense... so envious!) so we sat and literally just talked about everything for almost 2 hours. It's nice to have friends like that, where you can discuss anything and walk away feeling better anything everything. It was awesome, and she's actually coming out with us for St. Patty's day next weekend so I can't wait to see her again! :)

I went to Starbucks a bit early to have some fruit and cheese :)
I spent the rest of the afternoon studying. Seriously. That's all I got up to. There was a hockey game on last night so we decided it would be fun to go out for some chicken wings and drinks while we watch the hockey game. What better place to go for the game than to Wayne Gretzky's! We've only been there a couple of times since living here, so it was nice to switch it up a bit. Coincidentally, we ran into Krysten (from Darwinian Fail) and her husband!! It was super cool to meet him, he seems like a very nice guy! Unfortunately they didn't stay long because she had to work at 8am (which was like 7am because of the time change) but it was nice seeing her and introducing her to C! :)

Today was the most productive day of the whole weekend. We got all of our errands done, and it's probably not that exciting for the average person, however they're some things we've been meaning to get done for a long time and just haven't started....

First up - Apple TV. We finally bought Apple TV for our living room. I have all Mac products (with the exception of my BlackBerry... it will become an iPhone in due time) and it just made sense to get Apple TV so I can stream from device to device. So we've knocked that off the list.

Next up, I picked up my Lulu pants that I got hemmed and they're tons better than they were before. LOVE! Check that off the list.

Then we stopped at BestBuy to pick up a cable for Apple TV.

Then we hit up Home Depot. We're going to paint our condo. We've been here a while and need to spice it up. We got 4 different paint colour samples, primer, and new rollers/brushes. We figure once we put samples on the wall, we won't want to look at it so it will force us to pick a colour and get the paint job done. The colours we picked are abnormally bright, so we'll have to see if any of them go. Our cabinets are chocolate brown so I think we can do a great job at matching our bright colours with that. We also got a brand new light fixture for our kitchen.

Then we got groceries and got the car washed.

We finished groceries before the car was done, so I made us take a picture while we were waiting.
When we got home, C installed the light fixture and he's now tackling a project he's been thinking about doing for a while, rewiring the entertainment unit in the living room. I hibernated when that project started about 15 minutes ago because I know it's not going to be an easy job and I don't want to see him stress about it. It's good that he's doing it though because I know he has a ton of random tech gadgets that aren't hooked up properly so he can't use... hopefully now he can use whatever he wants! :)

I made another vlog when in the car. Lol.. C makes a cameo appearance and well, it comes to an abrupt end because of the motion of the car.... I'm basically just talking about the weekend and recapping everything I just wrote about. Why not? Also, disregard the random face spasms that happen, I think I was trying to keep the glasses on a certain spot on my face, they're a bit big and slide sometimes. I also have a problem with people watching, and the "ums" haven't gotten better. Yet.

Why does YouTube pick the most awkward moments in the video to pull their image from. Why do I look like I'm in the middle of sneezing instead of smiling. It's so silly. Whatever :)

This week I start training for the Toronto Yonge St. 10km Race! I'm making a race plan tomorrow and am going to start running outside this week, regardless of the weather! I'm working from home two days this week because of an event I have to go attend for work during the day tomorrow and because of some doctors appointments I have on Wednesday (my normal 5-month check up with my most favourite doctor...) so hopefully I get some sweet runs in!!

Woah, ok I just woke up after having fallen asleep for an hour, I think I'm going to go make soup (I'm making a batch of my delish gluten-free chicken noodle soup to have to eat during the week) as well as get started on the salmon I'm cooking for dinner tonight! There's still a few more days left in my GIVEAWAY!! 6. Hello! Seems like its been forever! While you were busy checking things off your list this weekend, I was busy putting on the pounds on the tail end of my vacation!

I've planned to be incredibly well behaved this weekend and just get some stuff done - and am in a 5k on Sunday morning (St. Pats, I know right?), so hopefully I'll be back to normal soon!

I love lush products! My favourite is Ultrabland face cleanser - you really have to take it off well (so I use those prepared face wipes, sorry environment) but it makes my face feel AMAZING!

  7. Been using LUSH since 2000. I walked into a shop in Scotland while on a vacation, thinking it was a pastry shop! The colors were so bright and everything looked like candy. Hooked ever since, and would import my products until LUSH north america came along many years later. Can't live without Angels on Bare Skin and my Celestial. Also love the shampoo bars.
